It's the middle of November but it feels more like September. This weekend, I took the dog for a long walk and of course, half way out the door I realized that I was wearing way too many layers. So, off went my hat and jacket. We've had something of a warm spell but all of that is about to change. The weather man is predicting a cold front and I wish I was prepared! It's bad enough waking up in the morning and getting out of bed but, exiting the shower when you are cold and wet is a lousy wake-up call. Amba Towel Warmers are the answer to my dreams. Spring is finally here--according to the calendar--and after a long and snowy winter, I am looking forward to getting outside. Did you ever stop and think how much trash we produce in a day? a week? a year? Where does it all go? We always had a collection of games at home, including a chess set. I've always wanted to learn how to play, but somehow I never did. My parents were avid card players, especially bridge. They would invite all their friends over for an evening of cards every so often and the house would be filled with laughter and yummy food. So the idea of games was a constant one in my growing-up years. A game table adds an element of fun to a living room or den, but also creates a great little area for conversation.
